I decided last year that it would be fun to create a blog about 52 things to do in the Valley. Then, we moved. Since we now live in San Antonio, I think this blog will be about 52 things to do in San Antonio. Essentially, the blog will be about the things we do with our grandchildren through this year.
This week we took a trip to Chris Madrid's for lunch. Madrid's speciality is hamburgers. The menu is hamburgers. The crowd is very faithful. There are two large parking lots that have been full everytime we have visited. The line was not too long when we arrived, but remained about the same length while we were there. It think that there were about 24 people ahead of us when we arrived.
We were fortunate that a large table became available while we were in line. It would have been very difficult to sit 8 of us inside, otherwise. The restaurant has outdoor seating, but it is a little hot outside in August. Inside was pleasant; although, the sound level is very high. The kids kept looking for the video games. I think they have built-in radar for the presence of video games. They finally found the game table that was making the noise. :-)
The grandkids had fun entertaining themselves taking pictures while we waited for the food. Once the order was placed, the time to table was very quick. We spent more time in line than we did waiting for the food. The burgers and fries were great, but not calorie-free!
